Breaking News: Seahawks MLB Lofa Tatupu Done for Season

SEATTLE- The fact that the Seattle Seahawks lost 27-3 to the Arizona Cardinals, falling to 2-4 was not the worst news of the day.

During the second quarter, MLB Lofa Tatupu went out with an undisclosed injury.

After the game it was reported and confirmed that the Seahawks MLB Lofa Tatupu is done for the season with a torn pectoral muscle.

Lofa only missed one full game and most of the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers games but other than that he was on the field.

Now losing Tatupu just add's to the injury pool which is headlined by CB Marcus Trufant, LB Leroy Hill, DE Patrick Kerney, LT Walter Jones, LT/RT Sean Locklear and many backups.

Tatupu will finish the season with 24 tackles and one sack.

Hopefully the Seahawks will use the bye to their fullest ability and get most of the players back and in the lineup and try and salvage the rest of the season.

TJ Houshmandzadeh: Passion or Cancer? Problems Beginning in Sea-Town?

RENTON- The Seattle Seahawks biggest off season acquisition, wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh who signed a five year $40 million dollar contract this past off season has been known for, in the past few weeks, speaking out against the Seattle Seahawks coaching staff and other players calling for the ball to go more his way.

In a sense it's like Tony Romo or Donovan McNabb with Terrell Owens back in their good old days.

Since being signed in March TJ has been a complete team player. Never yapping to the media or calling out teammates. That is until recently.

However since the Seahawks-Bears game in week three where before the game he went on a Chicago radio station saying "the Bears overlooked me in free agency so I'll have to show them up this week". He went on to say "the Bears have a weak pass coverage so I'll show them that it was a mistake now showing interest in me during free agency".

How did he fair against Chicago?

Four receptions, 35 yards and zero touchdown receptions. The worst statistical game of his still short Seahawks career.

The following week he became a little more "stand office" and didn't call out teammates or coaches and what happens?

He recordes his first 100 yard game of his Seahawks career. Eight receptions, 103 yards and still no touchdown reception but a much better outing.

Here is one of his comments via ESPN.com the following week before the Seattle-Jacksonville game.

"I just got to get these coaches to realize, throw me the ball, Houshmandzadeh said Friday, another variation on a public request he's had for weeks.

Calling out the coaching staff and your quarterback (then Seneca Wallace) doesn't really boad well for you in the locker room or on the field.

Ever since TJ went out and ripped Madden 2010 about his problems with some of his stats when he still is the 10th best rated WR on Madden. He has never been the same.

So the question at hand. Is TJ Houshmandzadeh's comments and recent actions passion for the game and wanting to help the team by having him get the ball a few more times or is it the beginning of a possible cancer problem in the Seahawks locker room?

A preview of a flashback to former Seahawks tight end Jeremy Stevens?

However TJ's stats still have been good in his first five games, putting him on pace for a 1000 yard receiving season according to ESPN.com.

27 receptions, 327 yards, two touchdowns and four 20+ yard receptions.
